I’m sorry but this is one of the most self servicing piece of shit ‘everybody should like us because we’re great and if you don’t then you’re wrong’ posts I’ve ever seen. So allow me, as someone who reads the comic, but dislikes the fandom, to counter each panel
Fans: Simply put, it only takes one fart to clear a room. Sometimes one bad fan is enough. But it isn’t just one fan. The Homestuck fandom is filled with the most irritating people, much like whomever created this stupid as shit powerpoint, who only see the good in themselves via the rose tinted pair of Dirk shades that everyone dons.
Comic: Homestuck starts off painfully slow, and the most interesting aspects don’t even rear their heads until act 3. More power to you for being able to stick in there, but you can’t justify any argument with “It gets better later”. People need evidence that their time isn’t being wasted.
Cosplay: This aspect of the Homestuck community is both the best and the worst part about it. Truly there are some talented cosplayers, but the grand majority of the fandom members use these people as examples to elevate themselves and act as if Homestucks are superior because look how amazing and fast we are at putting together cosplays.
They’re Mean: People are mean. This includes Homestucks. And as I said of the first Panel, it only takes one bad whiff of something smelly to ruin someone’s day. And if this smell happens to be wearing horns and honking, you know what this person is going to relate their pain to. Getting upset with these people only makes things worse, as they feel they are being bullied for not liking what you like.
The Homestuck community is not the first fandom to start a charity. In fact, it isn’t even close to being the best at funding charities. Furries, Bronies, various TV, Anime and Cartoon fandoms have done this. Most of them did it better, and don’t brag about it as often as you do. It’s poor form to use your ‘charitable nature’ as an example of why you’re great. So fuck off with that.
So congratulations, I actually dislike the fandom more now thanks to this circlejerk of a post.
If you read Homestuck
And you proclaim that you have adopted an Ironic sense of humour, and go about carrying this and doing stupid things in the name of irony
You are the equivalent of the bronies that have adapted 10 seconds flat and 20 percent cooler into their day to day vocabulary.
